Registration isn't open yet, but here are the details you need to know.
REGISTRATION COSTS
REGISTRATION opens in June.
- SELECT Team: $500 (Girls) $375 (Boys)
- COMPETITIVE Team: $275
- RECREATIONAL Team: $150
- $400 National volunteer deposit check (held until after Nationals - does not apply to Recreational players)
For multi-athlete families, you will receive an automatic $30 discount for every athlete registered AFTER the first athlete registration.
PARENT/PLAYER MEETING
There will be a MANDATORY Parent/Player meeting in July. Uniforms will be ordered by this day.
UNIFORM
All players will need to purchase a pair of ALL black shorts for their uniform. Under Armour has a good pair that many players have worn - just make sure it's all black and has a minimum 3" inseam. You may find it cheaper on Dick's or on Amazon. High School Girls may also wear Under Armour Women's Heatgear High Waisted Leggings for games (leggings must be this brand and style). Players will need to purchase a jersey ($50) that they can then keep and reuse each year. SELECT Team players will need to purchase a second alternate color jersey for $50.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
When registering, there is an option to split the total fee into payments. Please contact the Warrior board to discuss financial options if you are in financial need.
GAMES/TOURNAMENTS
SELECT teams will have tournaments most weekends (Friday/Saturday) with several local tournaments. Expect 4-5 nights of travel. COMPETITIVE teams will be local tournaments only. Families are responsible for making hotel and travel arrangements/expenses for their athlete. Parents are responsible for any admission fees to get into the venue (players do not pay).
WARRIORS NATIONALS
MWHA hosts a National Volleyball Tournament which is our primary method of fundraising. Specifically, this tournament allows us to keep registration costs low for our families. For the last 25+ years, the tournament has been managed by Warrior families - a tradition that continues to this day. Registering for Warriors assumes you will be able to contribute your time to assist with the tournament in some capacity during the 3-4 days (minimum 2 shifts per family Oct 21-24) as well as providing 2-3 food items for the Hospitality room. Please contact a board member if you have any questions about the expectations during this time. Each family will need to provide a $400 volunteer deposit check that will be held until after Nationals to ensure shifts are fulfilled.
REFUND POLICY
Metro Warrior Homeschool Athletics operates as a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We keep registration costs as low as possible while offering an excellent experience for players.
Prior to the season, we use player registration fees to fund our operating budget, which includes uniforms, equipment, court and league fees, among other annual expenses. In order to operate, our organization needs player fees prior to the season.
Because of this, refunds are only issued prior to July 10th. After this date, refunds are not issued if a player decides to voluntarily not participate. In the case of injuries that prevent the player from playing the remainder of the season, refunds may be issued after that date and are evaluated by the members of the Board.
By registering and paying for the season, you agree to the refund policy. Please contact our board if you have any questions.
